This is my 12th tattoo & is important to me because this is the first one that ‘shows’. All my life I have done my ink in places where it can be covered even when wearing a short sleeve shirt and/or shorts. I did this because of work, society, etc. Not any more. I have reached the point where I can say screw it. This is me, this is my body, and if it bothers you then deal with it. Not my problem. I also find the message perfect for me because as I get older, I am leaving what *I* consider to be a pretty corpse.
She is my tattoo artist also!
I followed her from Sacred Rose Tattoo in Berkeley, CA. She left that shop to open her own in November 2011. SUPER proud of her for opening Sugarfoot!

It’s always such a healing experience seeing my tattoo artist, an incredibly talented, centered, layered person who deeply calms me while stabbing me millions of times with a ink-filled needle.
She’s booked solid for months, which is how business should be! #Win
…but at it means that I don’t get to come see her anytime I want. #Fail
